Apparel line sheet generator
An apparel line sheet is read colourway by colourway. This builds one where the colour, the size run and the fabric sit next to the price, and saves it as a PDF buyers can order from.

One row per colourway, not per style
The most common mistake on a first line sheet is one row per style with the colours listed inside the description. Buyers do not order that way. They order a style in a colour across a size run, so each colourway needs its own row and its own style number.
The attribute column here combines the three things an apparel buyer checks before writing a quantity:
- Colourway — the name you use on the invoice, not an approximate colour.
- Size run — written as a run, for example XS-S-M-L-XL or 26-28-30-32, so the buyer can see immediately what they are committing to.
- Fabric or composition — weight and fibre where it affects the buying decision, such as 240gsm organic cotton or 12oz rigid denim.
Import a spreadsheet with Colourway, Size Run or Fabric columns and they are detected and combined automatically.
Wholesale, MSRP and minimums
Wholesale and MSRP sit together so a buyer can check margin at a glance, with the minimum order quantity beside them. For apparel the minimum is usually per colourway rather than per style, and it is worth stating which you mean in the subtitle so there is nothing to query.
Questions
- Should each colour be its own row?
- Yes. Buyers order a style in a specific colour across a size run, so a row per colourway with its own style number is what makes the sheet orderable without follow-up questions.
- How should I write a size run?
- As a run rather than a list of separate columns, for example XS-S-M-L-XL or 26-28-30-32. It stays readable on one line and prints cleanly.
- Can I add a fabric composition?
- Yes. Put it in a Fabric or Composition column and it is combined with the colourway and size run into the attribute column.
- Can I produce a photo-led version for the same range?
- Switch the layout to catalogue grid. The same products are re-laid out with larger images and nothing needs re-entering.
