Wholesale Catalogue Tools

What this site collects

Short version: five anonymous counters, and nothing else.

Never collected

Collected

Anonymous counts of five things, with no identifier attached to them:

  1. page-view — a page was opened.
  2. tool-started — someone typed or imported something.
  3. catalogue-generated — a catalogue was produced.
  4. pdf-downloaded — the PDF/print step was reached.
  5. paid-intent-click — one of the "would this be useful?" buttons was tapped.

These exist so we can tell whether the tool is useful to anyone. They cannot be linked back to a person, a company or a catalogue.

How those counts are recorded

When one of those five things happens, the page quietly loads a tiny marker page such as /e/catalogue-generated/ in a hidden frame. Our privacy-first, cookieless visitor counter then registers one visit to that address. That is the entire mechanism.

The list of marker addresses is fixed and written into the code. Nothing you type can ever become part of an address: your text is only used to look up an entry in that fixed list, and anything unrecognised is ignored. There are no query strings and no identifiers, so two visits to the same marker cannot be told apart or linked to you.

Stored in your browser

Your working draft is kept in your browser's local storage so that reloading the page does not lose it. It stays on your device, is not synced anywhere, and you can clear it with the "Clear all" button or by clearing site data.

Checking this yourself

Open your browser's developer tools, go to the Network tab, and use the generator normally — including importing a CSV and adding photos. You will see no requests carrying your data.
